Lucie Kuhlmann Grapes

Lucie Kuhlmann. (Mgt. 101-14 x Goldreisling). The cross that produced this hybrid and it's siblings was a prolific one, with several other selections in addition to this one, Leon Millot, and Marechal Foch. Lucie Kuhlmann is blue, like the rest of the group, with high vigor. Flavor is more herbaceous, with a distinct "green pepper" flavor. People in Colorado who have tried it like it for blending, while in other aeas the herbaceous taste has been less popular. Clusters are bigger than those of Leon Millot, but smaller than Foch. Berry size is small, about with the other two. Hardiness is closer to that of Millot than Foch. Prune to canes to get a sufficient crop.
